Reedsafe attended another Electrical Appliance Community Safety Event on Saturday 6th June 2026, this time around we were at The Fletcher Community Rooms in Acle! Members of the local community were encouraged to bring along any portable appliances they wanted inspected. We inspected a variety of different appliances, from a small shaver to an undercounter fridge! A few burnt plugs were found - and replaced at no cost to the owners. A very dangerous adaptor plug was condemned - it was totally uncompliant and certainly not safe to be used in the UK. Several visitors collected free booklets issued by Electrical Safety First. The event was most enjoyable and certainly worthwhile. Funding was obtained by Fleggburgh Parish Council.
